Due to Krypton being destroyed by the war with Brainiac, Kal-El was unable to get to know his biological parents. Despite this, both loved their son so much that they sacrificed themselves to send him away from the malevolent entity's genocide of their race.
Jonathan and Martha Kent[]
They are Clark’s adopted parents from Earth. They loved their son and understood the situation with his powers. Martha was the one who made changes to Clark’s initial Kryptonian outfit.
Kara Zor-El[]
After learning Kara's existence, Clark made it his mission to find her. At first, she thought (under brainwashing) her cousin's time on earth had made him weak but after the kindness he gave her and getting to know Kal-El she slowly began to orver come her brainwasheing and see things from his point of view. After Kara and Superman were freed from Brainiac's control, she realized Clark was the kind of person she wanted be like. Their bond grew significantly in a short period, with Kara even calling her cousin by his earth name Clark from time to time out of respect.

Jimmy Olsen[]
At the beginning of the series, Jimmy and Clark are already shown to be good friends. They have been roommates since college and would later on both get internships at the Daily Planet. Due to their close friendship, Jimmy was able to deduce that Clark was Superman early on but chose to say nothing out of respect for his privacy.
Lana Lang[]
Before there was Jimmy, there was Lana, she and Clark were inseparable as young kids. But when he awakened his Kryptonian powers after saving a woman and her child from a car crash, Clark distanced himself from Lana out of fear that he might hurt her. Clark has never spoken with Lana ever since.

The young Kryptonian has faced military extremists who believes they're in the right, criminals gaining powers in freak accidents, and amoral tycoons who will do anything to be on top, but Brainiac stands out above the rest as he is a warmongering and vicious entity who is determined to bring the entire universe to its knees. While Clark represents the best of Krypton, Brainiac embodies the very worst of their world — a Social Darwinist misanthrope who seeks to conquer and gleefully uses all of his destructive powers for his own selfish and destructive gain. But not only that, the maniacal A.I. turned Clark’s long-lost cousin into a weapon for his own gains for conquest, establishing him as the most personal threat to the Last Son of Krypton as well.
