Background[]

Little information is available about Slade Wilson's history, except that he became a member of Task Force X at one point, eventually rising to become their leading agent.

Season 1[]

Adventures of a Normal Man[]

Following Leslie Willis's successful raid on Mt. Simonson Base and the 0MAC's attack at the Docks , Slade would begin to send out various operatives to capture and interrogate her on what she knows about Zero Day and Superman. Nevertheless, Leslie overpowered two of Slade's agents, seized their earpiece, and used it to communicate with him. She insisted meeting with him at the City Bistro to negotiate her freedom in exchange for the stolen technology. Slade agreed to the meeting and confronted Leslie, who surmised he might be associated with the marines or black ops. Slade pointed out that he knew Leslie's identity, but she dismissed his remark.

Leslie proposes an deal to Slade, who declines her offer, noting her ignorance of the technology she appropriated. In response, Leslie reveals she has placed explosives throughout the city and is ready to set them off, prompting Slade to rethink her proposal. Nonetheless, before they can seal their agreement, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen emerge from a nearby sewer grate, having followed Leslie and uncovered her explosives. Feeling deceived, Leslie pushes Slade aside and gets ready to trigger her detonator.

Just as she is about to push the trigger, Slade swats it from her grasp and confronts Leslie. The two continue battling until Superman arrives, prompting Leslie to target him for disrupting her mission. While she is preoccupied, Slade then hits the power source fueling her suit, triggering an overload that begins to mutate Leslie. Superman succeeds in subduing Leslie and removing the power source from her suit, though she vanishes under mysterious circumstances soon after. Later, it is disclosed that Slade has apprehended Leslie and taken her to an interrogation chamber. He, alongside Amanda Waller and "The General", then questions her about how much she knows about Nemesis Omega, Zero Day, Task Force X and Superman, telling her that her captors are the "good guys".

My Interview with Superman[]

Following Superman's conflict with Intergang after they tried to rob the Metropolitan City Bank, Slade shows up, disguised as a paramedic. After Superman organizes the paramedics and departs, Slade observes the unconscious forms of Silver Banshee, Mist, and Rough House, then proceeds to take them captive and transports them to the Task Force X facility.

You Will Believe a Man Can Lie[]

Once Slade apprehended Intergang, he would receive a sophisticated suit of armor from Waller and the General that granted him superhuman strength comparable to that of Superman. Using these new powers, he kidnapped every criminal in possession of the remaining stolen technology from Livewire, including those in Heat Wave's Gang.

Slade would then observe from afar as Heat Wave escapes from Superman and consults with his leaders on what to do next. The General tells him to prioritize reclaiming their technology. Slade tracks Heat Wave to a construction site, observing from above when Superman shows up and starts to fight Heat Wave, requesting approval to engage "Nemesis Omega." Seeing this as the perfect opportunity to face Superman, the General and Waller authorize Slade to proceed and provide him with additional support.

Slade would then immobilize Heat Wave and confront Superman alongside a pair of OMAC robots. During their battle, Slade sends Superman flying towards a nearby highway and cuts through its support pillars. As a result, Superman would repel Slade and start holding up the highway to safeguard the people above. Slade would then use this opportunity to set his swords into blaster mode, receiving a directive from Waller to eliminate Superman while he was distracted. However, the directive would then be cancelled by the General who wished for no innocent civilians to be harmed in their mission to eliminate Nemesis Omega”. Slade would then obey and abort the mission, allowing him to retreat.

Appearance[]

Slade Wilson is a fairly tall, muscular, fair-skinned young man with short white hair that's spiked behind the ears and with one large tuft covering his right eye. Following his eye being destroyed by Livewire, he now wears an eyepatch.

In his combat outfit, he wears black armor with an orange and black mask with glowing red eyes that resembles a skull.

Personality[]

Slade's personality is a mixture between that of a formal gentleman and a ruthless mercenary or assassin. He emits charm and speaks calmly, even in the middle of a hostile situation. Slade emits hostility when upset or frustrated, as seen in "Adventures of a Normal Man Part 2" when Livewire went on a rampage while they were still in the middle of negotiations after she mistakenly thought that he had set a trap for her.

Slade also demonstrates a ruthless streak when Livewire was in his custody, taking sadistic pleasure in torturing her for information and cruelly referring to himself and his associates as the good guys while doing so. This is further exemplified when after seeing an opportunity to take Superman down while he was distracted trying to save a bridge full of people, Slade was fully prepared and even seemed eager to take the shot despite the fact that doing so would've led to the people getting hurt or killed and only stood down on Amanda Waller's orders.

He also often takes to mocking, taunting, and insulting his enemies as seen in his fight with Superman where, after the hero realized that they were the ones responsible for all the dangerous technology, Slade mockingly says that he has a super brain to go with the rest of him.
