The Multiverse is a vast collection of countless universes and alternate realities. Each of these different worlds, called "Earths," is identified by a specific number. For example, the main universe where the series takes place is known as Earth-12. This idea allows for different versions of characters and events to exist across various realities, opening up many possibilities for storytelling.

History[]

Discovery of the Multiverse[]

Although little is known about the Multiverse, it is clear that Lois Lane of Earth-Prime was the first to discover its existence—without any help from her reality’s Superman. Upon this discovery, Lois realized she wasn’t alone; there were other versions of her across the Multiverse. Determined to unite them, she sought out her counterparts and formed the League of Lois Lanes. During her journey, Lois Prime also encountered various versions of Superman, some of whom had turned evil, and she documented these findings in her journal. However, for reasons unknown, Lois Prime eventually disappeared and lost contact with the League, and her current whereabouts remain a mystery.

Mister Mxyzptlk's Escape[]

The League of Lois Lanes eventually encountered a multidimensional criminal named Mr. Mxyzptlk. While attempting to capture him, they managed to steal his hat, an object that granted him immense power. Just as they were about to imprison him, a gorilla named Monsieur Mallah and his lover, Brain, opened a portal to another dimension, allowing Mxyzptlk to escape. He fled to Earth-12, where he tricked Earth-12’s Superman into believing that his Lois Lane was in danger. Unable to reach Superman in time, the League instead sought out Earth-12's Lois, who warned them about the threat Mxyzptlk posed and hinted at the potential danger that Superman might also bring.
