Mr. Mxyzptlk[2] is an entity from the 5th dimension with a pathological desire for chaos.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Mr. Mxyzptlk was an enemy of the League of Lois Lanes who managed to separate him from his hat, weakening him and allowing them to detain him. Mxyzptlk managed to escape to the previously undiscovered Earth-12 when the Brain and Monsieur Mallah opened a portal to leave their universe.[3]
Kiss Kiss Fall in Portal[]
Posing as an inter-dimensional peacekeeper, Mxyzptlk appeared in Clark and Jimmy's Apartment to recruit Superman, lying to him that Lois Lane had been captured by the League. Portalling to the Space and Superhero Museum on Earth-Prime, Mxyzptlk began robbing it once Superman broke down the door. After mocking Clark's multiversal fate as an eternal outcast on Earth, Mxyzptlk opened a portal to Earth-14, manipulating the League into attacking Superman. Leaving his bag of loot as a decoy, Mxyzptlk stole the League's ship and warped away. Making a situational ally of Earth-12 Lois, the two warped to the League of Lois Lanes' Headquarters via a backup key in Lois Prime's Recorder.
As "Fun Lois" accessed the League's files, Mxyzptlk found their vault and retrieved his bowler hat, unlocking his full powers and setting the Headquarters to self-destruct. Using Mxyzptlk's speed against him, Clark and Lois managed to remove his bowler hat, allowing the League to take him prisoner once again.
Mxyzptlk managed to quickly escape and return to Earth-12, simply telling Lois that jail "didn't take". Seeing the file on the evil Superman variants and the sample of Kryptonite, Mxyzptlk denied to explain, feeling it would be more fun to watch Lois figure it out, and left reality.[3]
Appearance[]
Mr. Mxyzptlk appears to be a blue-skinned imp with tied white hair. He is first seen wearing purple clothing and an orange cape. Green pearls are worn around his neck. When he wears his bowler hat, it turns into a crown, his scleras turn black and he gains a third eye on his forehead.
Personality[]
When he first meets Clark, he appears friendly and jovial, recruiting the Man of Steel to save Lois. However, after Superman helps him break into the Space and Superhero Museum (being led to believe Lois was being held captive there), Mr. Mxyzptik quickly drops his facade and shows his true colors. Not only is he manipulative and amoral in his actions, but also sadistic, cruel, and evil, referring to himself as a "chaos god" and holding the title like a badge of honor. He holds no value in human life and merely sees the multiverse as his playground. His reasons for spreading chaos in the multiverse is nonexistent, stating that he "lives for the drama" and mainly does it for fun.

Imp Physiology:
- Levitation: Mr. Mxyzptlk can float midair at will.
- Reality Warping: Like his comic book counterpart, Mr. Mxyzptik possesses the god-like ability to alter reality however he likes, though without his "bowler hat," which acts as an amplifier, he's much weaker and can be taken out by even Superman.
- Dimensional Travel: Mr. Mxyzptlk can travel through alternate dimensions at will.
- Duplication: Mr. Mxyzptlk can create copies of himself.

Trivia[]
- In the comics, Mister Mxyzptlk is an imp hailing from the Fifth Dimension, periodically visiting and haranguing Superman. He first appeared in 1944 in Superman #30.
- As his epithet as the God of Chaos, this version of Mxy may be a representation/aspect of the "Lords of Chaos" from the DC comics canon.
- His overall appearance bears a resemblance to the Supreme Kai from Dragon Ball Z.
- Mister Mxyzptlk's color pallet is based on both the Golden Age version of the character as well as his Silver Age version. His jacket and bell-bottoms are purple, with orange highlights, thus mirroring Golden Age Mxyzptlk while also being a reversal of the Silver Age's costume. His white hair subsequently is the same as in the Silver Age.
- His knowledge of Clark's multiversal variants is presumably a reference to the 2017 storyline Superman Reborn where it was established that all versions of Mister Mxyzptlk are the same individual.
- Mxyzptlk being able to be separated from his hat is potentially a reference to his Arrowverse variant who lost his hat in a card game.
