Family[]
Sam Lane[]
Mr. Lane was first mentioned in the episode Let's Go to Ivo Tower, You Say. His daughter, Lois, confessed to Clark Kent that she doesn't have the best relationship with him. This was due to Mr. Lane being an emotionally distant parent, never really opening up to anyone. While their relationship is somewhat tense, Lois does look up to her father and desires his approval. However, in Two Lanes Diverged, he leaves without a word, further straining their relationship. During the epilogue of My Adventures with Supergirl, he was seen at a barbecue at the Kent Farm, but Lois was not seen with him, implying that they still have issues.
Unnamed Mother[]
Not much is known about Lois' mother, except that she had passed away due to an illness.[1]
Friends[]
Jimmy Olsen[]
Lois and Jimmy are very good friends and exhibit a close, sibling-like bond. They tease each other whenever they see opportunity to. Unlike Clark, Jimmy is more willing to go along with Lois' schemes to investigate stories. Lois often confides in Jimmy whenever she feels inner turmoil, particularly regarding Clark. She can also be quite protective over Jimmy, showing initiative to go search for him whenever a threat is in proximity and he isn't in her viewing range, as well as providing a source of comfort in near-death experiences (e.g. holding him near and attempting to shield him when about to be crushed by a truck in Adventures of a Normal Man Part 2 and holding his hand when the Metallos attacked them in Olsen's Eleven.)
Hank Henshaw[]
Lois and Hank are friends from college, and he serves as her informant at Star Labs.
Kara Zor-El[]
Initially, Lois and Kara had nothing but animosity towards each other when the two clashed in space. Lois held contempt for Kara for kidnapping Clark, and Kara felt vice-versa for the visions Clark had about Lois breaking up with him. However, the two would soon see that their views for each other were taken out of context of their respective scenarios and would become supportive of each other as they neared their fight against Brainiac. When Kara was brainwashed to wreak havoc on Metropolis, Lois helped her regain control over her own mind, showing that she has come to greatly care about Kara. The two ladies eventually became very good friends.

Clark Kent[]

One of Lois and Superman's kiss scenes.
From the very beginning Clark and Lois were attracted to each other. They both met outside of Bogdanov's Diner when Clark broke the door's handle. Over the course of the series, they become closer before eventually deciding to make their relationship official. Lois has an immense about of faith in Clark, believing his good nature despite knowing that he becomes evil in other universes as well as casually putting herself in danger with a belief that he will always rescue her.
