Biography[]

Early Life[]

Little is known about Leslie's life prior to the events of Season 1, other than the fact that she was a criminal and her activities were known to Task Force X.

Season 1[]

Adventures of a Normal Man[]

Leslie organized a heist on a military base, stealing a large number of powerful high-tech weapons, including some giant robots. Later, Leslie and her crew are loading the tech and robots at the docks when Clark, Lois, and Jimmy stumble on them. Leslie unleashes one of the robots and has it attack the trio. Clark quickly disguises himself and defeats the first robot, prompting Leslie to turn on the remaining robots to stop him. While the trio are busy with the robots, Leslie makes her escape.

Later Leslie is being tracked by a pair of Task Force X operatives, who try to apprehend her in a alleyway but are quickly subdued instead. Leslie uses the ear comm of one of the operatives to arrange a meetup with whoever the leader of this mysterious group is, telling them to come alone.

Leslie meets up with Slade Wilson at the appointed location where she immediately pegs him as black ops. He in turn identifies her as Leslie Willis, a notorious thief. Leslie is uninterested in banter, saying that she's willing to trade some of tech in return for Slade's group to stop hunting her. Slade smugly informs her that she doesn't know what she's dealing with, but Leslie counters that if that's the case then it's a good thing she planted C4 under the city as a contingency. At that moment, Jimmy and Lois, who had been following her trail and had stumbled across the C4, pop out of a manhole cover near where Leslie and Wilson are meeting. Leslie mistakes the two for a pair of Wilson's lackey's and promptly attacks him. Slade manages to knock the detonator out of her hand and the two of them begin to fight in earnest.

At the start of the fight, Leslie reveals that she had a high-tech suit that allowed her to control electricity. Slade, however, would prove to capable of holding his own against her, with their battle resulting in much collateral damage. In the scuffle, Leslie throws a truck which nearly crushes Lois and Jimmy, only for the two to be saved by the timely arrival of Superman. Superman confirms that the two are okay but is promptly attacked by Leslie, who blames him for destroying her robots and making her a target for Task Force X. Leslie tries to denote the C4 with her electric abilities, but the electric bolt is instead blocked by Superman. Wilson takes the moment when she's distracted with Superman to damage the Kryptonian crystal powering her suit, which causes her powers to go out of control. Superman braves the out-of-control electric field to reach Leslie, who attacks him thinking he's there to finish her off. Superman takes her attacks and removes the Kryptonian crystal from her back and destroys it, saving her life.

Later it's revealed that Leslie has been captured by Task Force X and is being held in a secret Black Site. Slade conducts an interrogation of Leslie knows, using a high-powered shock collar to torture the information out of her. Leslie is surprised to find out that Superman isn't with them and fearfully demands to know who they are, to which Slade simply responds that they're "the good guys."

Zero Day[]

Leslie, along with the Intergang and Heat Wave, are released from their cells. The group wonders what's going on before they receive a painful and debilitating shock through their shock collars that causes all of them to collapse to the ground in pain. The General presses a button to stop and bluntly informs the group that they will start "repaying their debt to society," and that they would be joined by Parasite. Later Mist, who as it turns out has also been captured and forced into a shock collar, leads Superman into an ambush where Leslie and the rest of the criminals attack him midair. The combined efforts of the Task Force X supervillain squad prove to be a tough fight for Superman and he's almost beaten by the squad but manages to defeat most of them after tapping a quick burst of energy. However Parasite manages to drain Superman and almost kills him before being subdued by the shock collar himself. Leslie and the rest of the conscious members of Task Force X surround and stand over a helpless Superman. Leslie is ordered to subdue Superman and with obvious pleasure she sends a massive lightning bolt through the Kryptonians. She and the rest of the squad then take him prisoner.

After the General informs Waller that they won't be killing Superman and instead they'll be keeping him alive for questioning, Waller determines that the General has become too soft to properly lead the project and protect Earth. She secretly turns off the security camera in Leslie's cell, who notes this with some interest and uses the opportunity to use her electric powers to remove her shock collar. After a brief scuffle with the prison guards, she proceeds to free the rest of the captured metahumans. The black site security and wilson try to stop the escaping group, with Wilson once again facing off against Leslie in one on one combat. This time however Leslie manages to get the better of Wilson and delivers a powerful electric shock directly to his face, destroying his right eye and knocking him out in the process. Leslie then feeds a strong electric current directly into a now half crazed Parasite, causing him to grow larger and attack the black site security in a furry. Leslie and the other meta humans use this distraction to make their escape.

Season 2[]

Fullmetal Scientist[]

Leslie, now going by Livewire, is hired by Thomas Weston to silence John Irons and destroy all evidence that the Amertek fusion core was unstable. Superman successfully stopped her from attacking Dr. Irons but failed to stop her from destroying Irons' computers and the evidence of the fusion core's instability. Upon completely her mission, Livewire fled the scene of the crime, not wanting to fight Superman. As she runs away she calls Weston and berates him for not informing her that Superman would be involved, pointedly informing him she's not getting paid enough to deal with that. Weston protests that he didn't know but asks if she managed to take care of Superman, whereupon she promptly hangs up on him and severs any future business.
