Hank Henshaw is one of Lois Lane's contacts at Star Labs and an old college classmate of hers.
Biography[]
Hank was an old college classmate of Lois Lane. At some point, he both got married and began working at Star Labs. He secretly collaborates with Task Force X and a group of scientists and captains of industry, such as Lex Luthor, for the goal of eliminating Superman.

Hank is a tall, well-built man with a resemblance to Clark.

Hank at first is shown to be friendly, but later on after believing Superman almost destroys Star Labs, his views on him become xenophobic, believing in Lex's Earth should be for Earthlings slogan.

- In the comics, Hank Henshaw is a pilot for a spacecraft mission. After the mission goes awry and the crew are exposed to cosmic radiation, Hank's body withers away and the other three astronauts die, including his wife. Hank uploads his mind into a computer and finds Superman's birthing matrix, partially cloning Clark's body and merging it with some advanced technology in order to become Cyborg Superman. After the real Superman dies at the hands of Doomsday, Hank poses as him before committing several atrocities, only to be defeated once Superman is revived.
- In a unique foreshadowing to the character becoming an evil Superman double, this version of Hank strongly resembles a traditional version of Clark Kent, right down to the curl in his hair.
- Hank Henshaw debuted in 1990 in the pages of The Adventures of Superman #465 and was created by Superman writer Dan Jurgens. His Cyborg Superman persona debuted during the Reign of the Supermen story arc in issue #500.
- In Most Eligible Superman, a continuity error is made noticeable for Hank when he’s chosen as being an eligible bachelor for an charity event when in his debut episode, it’s mentioned that he’s married.
