A Green Lantern Power Ring is the weapon of choice, tool, and badge of an officer within the Green Lantern Corps.
History[]
At some point during the history of the Kryptonian Empire, a Bolovaxian Green Lantern fought against and was defeated by the Empire. Brainiac preserved the Bolovaxian's consciousness and ring, or rather, recorded the behavioral patterns and ways the ring was used, for battle training.
When Superman was brought before him, the Bolovaxian Green Lantern was his first opponent. They first used their ring to immobilize Superman and deliver an energy attack before creating a construct of a cutlass only to be frozen by Superman's super-breath.[1]
