The Gotham Gazette is a news organization located in Gotham City and rival of the Daily Planet in Metropolis.
History[]
After Superman debuted, Perry White made an offer to the Gazette to write an editorial for the Daily Planet. Having already decided that Superman was a dangerous threat, Vicki wrote a heavily biased article based on Lex Luthor's interview, netting her a promotion to editor-in-chief of the Gazette.[1]
After Flamebird had become a subsidiary of the Daily Planet, Perry told Jimmy Olsen they needed daily videos to keep up with Vicki's output.[2]
Vicki returned to Metropolis to write an article on Amertek's Metallos. Vicki worked with Lois Lane to get the story but by the time she submitted it to the Gazette, she learnt that the more tech-savvy Lois had been writing her article in real-time, having submitted it to the Daily Planet ten minutes prior. Impressed, Vicki offered Lois a job at the Gazette.[3]
Following Brainiac's invasion of Earth, Vicki managed to snag an exclusive interview with Supergirl for the Gazette, much to Perry White's rage. During this time, Lois ultimately turned down Vicki's job offer.[4]
