The Cosmic Rod is an artifact displayed within the Space and Superhero Museum on Earth-Prime.
History[]
At some point, the Cosmic Rod would be donated to the Space and Superhero Museum. During Mr. Mxyzptlk's plan to break into the League's Headquarters and regain his hat by manipulating the Superman of Earth-12 into helping him break into the Museum, Mxyzptlk would observe the numerous artifacts including the Cosmic Rod. He would then use the Cosmic Rod to break the display case containing Lois Prime's Recorder.[1]

- The Cosmic Rod otherwise known as the Cosmic Staff was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky, first appearing in Justice League of America #29 in August, 1964. Originally created by Ted Knight, also known as the original Starman, the device granted him abilities such as flight and energy projection. After his retirement, the rod was passed down to his son, Jack Knight, and eventually to Courtney Whitmore, also known as Stargirl.
