After his father went missing, Billy came across Clark Kent and Lois Lane by chance. Hoping Superman could find his father, Billy told them all he knew and gave Clark a tearful hug after he promised Superman would help, saying he would be waiting for his father at home.[1]

Billy is a young African American boy with dark hair tied in several dreadlocks. He wears a red shirt with an orange and white jacket, blue pants, and red shoes.

- Billy is potentially a reference to/the show's version of Billy Batson/Shazam. This speculation came about not only because of the name, but also because Billy wears a red shirt and blue pants, something Billy Batson is often seen wearing and also carries a smartphone with a case that has Shazam’s costume colors of red and yellow. Though Billy's father is seen, while Billy Batson is an orphan in the comics, there is no explicit confirmation or rejection that this Billy is adopted.
- If it were confirmed, then this would be the first iteration of the classic character to utilize the "Captain Thunder" concept in animation, an alternate Black version of Captain Marvel created in 1974.
